Chitlam Podi or Endu Chintha Chiguru podi (Dry Tamarind leaves Podi)


Ingredients

  • Dry Tamarind Leaves(Endu Chiguru)  - 1 1/2 glass
  • Nuvulu (Til) - Half Glass
  • Salt
  • Dry Red Chillies - as per taste
  • Garlic - 2 whole 
  • Ground Nuts  -2 glasses
  • Horse Gram powder or Ulava Podi - 1/4 glass

Procedure

  1. Heat a Kadai dry roast Groundnuts , keep it aside
  2. Dry roast Tamarind leaves for 2 mins transfer into a bowl
  3. Dry roast Nuvulu and Horse Gram separately
  4. Add a tea spoon of oil in a kadai and roast red chillies


  5. In a Blender add roasted horse gram and blend it to smooth powder and transfer it to a bowl
  6. In a blender add Nuvulu, Ground nuts blend to coarse powder , transfer it to horse gram powder bowl
  7. Now Blend Red chillies salt ,tamarind leaves and garlic to a powder ,add everything to previous ground powder .Mix well and blend again
  8. Store it in Air tight conntainer
