Gongura Pappu

Ingredients


  • Gongura or Sorrel Leaves 1 big Bunch
  • Kandi Pappu or Toor Dal  1 cup
  • Senaga Pappu   1 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic Cloves 6-8
  • Green Chilli
  • Coriander seeds 2 tbsps
  • Jeera 1 tbsp
  • Ground Nuts 1 Tbsp (Optional)
  • Salt 
  • Turmeric

Procedure

  1. In a Cooker add Kandi Pappu, Senaga Pappu , Garlic cloves,Onions,Gongura and Ground nuts.Cook for 2 whistles
  2. In a blender add Green chilli , Coriander seeds and Jeera,blend them.Add this to cooked dal.Add turmeric and salt also
  3. Cook for 5 mins and switch off the flame
  4. Add seasoning.Serve with Rice or Jonna or Jowar Roti
