Kadapa Karam Dosa


Ingredients

For Onion Karam

  • Onions 2 big
  • Coconut dry or fresh 1 tbsp
  • Putnalu or roasted bengal gram 1 tsp
  • Tamarind little
  • Salt
  • Jaggery 1 tsp
  • Dry Red chillies or Red chilli powder

For Bombay Chutney

  • Senaga pindi or Besan -2 tbsp
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Green Chillies
  • Jeera - 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Turmeric

Procedure

For Onion Karam

  • In a blender ,add all the ingredients except onion ,blend them
  • Now add onions and blend them to coarse paste , mix well

For Bombay Chutney

  1. In a Small bowl take besan and add water , mix it without lumps.Keep it a side
  2. In a Kadai add 1 tsp oil and heat it.Add Mustard seeds, jeera when they start splutter , add curry leaves , green chilli , cook for 2 mins add half a glass of water , besan paste
  3. Mix well so that there wont be any lumps , cook for 5 - 10 mins.

Dosa

  1. Heat the Dosa Tawa (Use cast iron , dosa tastes gud)
  2. Add Ladleful of batter and spread it in circular motion into a thin circle 
  3. Sprinkle some oil or ghee .Cook till dosa becomes golden in color
  4. Add 1 Spoon of Onion karam , spread it over dosa,cook for few secs
  5. Now add Bombay Chutney and spread it well.Sprinkle some ghee and Serve
