Alu or Potato Fry


Ingredients


  • Oil 3 tbsp 
  • Potatoes 3
  • Curry Leaves

For Podi


  • Dry Coconut 2 tbsp
  • Redchillies or Red Chilli powder 
  • Salt
  • Garlic Cloves 2 (Optional)

Procedure

For Podi:

  • In a Blender add Coconut , red chilli powder ,garlic and salt, blend them to smooth powder.
(If using Red chillies dry roast them and them add into blender)

For Fry

  1. Peel Potatoes and put them in water.Chop them
  2. Now Heat oil in a kadai , add Potatoes mix them.Fry them in high flame by giving a stir for every few minutes.Once they start golden color , change the flame to Low
  3. Fry until they are  golden and crispy
  4. Remove Excess oil , add blended coconut powder ,stir them and switch off the flame
  5. Serve hot with Rice
