Karivepaku Rice (Curry Leaves Rice)

Ingredients


  • Curry Leaves  Half cup
  • Rice 1 cup
  • Lemon  half
  • Red Chilly 
  • Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera 1/4 tsp
  • Ground Nuts  1tsp
  • Bengal Gram  1 tsp
  • Black gram  1/2 tsp
  • Hing 
  • Red Chillies
  • Salt

Procedure

  1. Soak rice for 30 mins ,Cook and Let it cool
  2. In a Blender add Curry leaves ,green chillies and grind it to smooth paste , add little bit of water if necessary
  3. Heat oil in a kadai , add mustard and jeera ,when they start splutter add ground nuts , bengal gram and black gram fry for 2 mins .Now add Curry leaves,hing and red chilly.Give a mix
  4. Now add curry leaves paste,salt and cook till it looses its raw smell or oil comes out
  5. Switch off the flame ,add this to cooked rice,also add lemon juice.Mix well  
  6. Curry leaves rice is ready.
