Karivepaku Rice (Curry Leaves Rice)
Ingredients
- Curry Leaves Half cup
- Rice 1 cup
- Lemon half
- Red Chilly
- Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
- Jeera 1/4 tsp
- Ground Nuts 1tsp
- Bengal Gram 1 tsp
- Black gram 1/2 tsp
- Hing
- Red Chillies
- Salt
Procedure
- Soak rice for 30 mins ,Cook and Let it cool
- In a Blender add Curry leaves ,green chillies and grind it to smooth paste , add little bit of water if necessary
- Heat oil in a kadai , add mustard and jeera ,when they start splutter add ground nuts , bengal gram and black gram fry for 2 mins .Now add Curry leaves,hing and red chilly.Give a mix
- Now add curry leaves paste,salt and cook till it looses its raw smell or oil comes out
- Switch off the flame ,add this to cooked rice,also add lemon juice.Mix well
- Curry leaves rice is ready.
