Bagara Rice

Ingredients

  • Ghee 2 tbsp
  • Rice 1 cup
  • Onion 1
  • Pudina or Mint leaves 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Shahjeera 1/2 tbsp
  • Elaichi 1
  • Clove 1
  • Cinnamon 1/2 inch
  • Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies 2

Procedure 

  • Wash rice and Soak for 30 mins (1 cup rice , 2 cups water)
  • In a Cooker  heat ghee,add all masala(Clove,Elaichi,Shahjeera,Cinnamon) saute for few secs. Add Onion,cook till soft,Now add ginger garlic paste and fry till light brown
  • Now add Green chilly,Pudina and coriander leaves.Cook for 1 min approx
  • Add salt and mix well
  • Now add Soaked rice with water.
  • Cover with lid and cook for 2 whistles
  • Serve with bagara baigan or any gravy and raita
