Ingredients
Rice - 3 cups
Rice Rava 1 cup
Water 3-5 cups
Salt
Procedure
- Wash rice and soak for 4-5 hrs
- In a kadai add 3 cups of water and let it boil.Once it is boiled ,add rice rava ,mix well
- Cover with lid and let it cook.It takes app 10 mins for rava to get cooked
- Add 1 more glass of water and cook for few more mins
- Switch if the flame and let it cool completely
- In a grinder add soaked rice and grind it to smooth paste
- Take out the batter in a bowl , add cooked rice rava and mix well.Make sure no lumps are formed
- Ferment for 8 hrs or whole night
- After 8 hrs mix the batter well and add salt and baking soda.Mix well
- Heat a dosa tawa ,take ladle full of batter ,add in center of tawa and spread it .It should be thick like utappam
- Add some oil on top of dosa and cover with lid.Cook on slow flame
- Dosa will be as soft as bread.Hence we call it as bread dosa
- Serve hot with any chutney or alu curry
