Gongura chat pat


Ingredients

  • Gongura 1 big cup
  • Tomato small 1
  • Onion small 1 or half onion if it is big
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil 1tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies 3

For seasoning

  • Mustard seeds
  • Jeera
  • Curry leaves
  • Dry red chilli
  • hing
  • Urad dal split
  • Oil 1 tbsp

Procedure

  1. Wash gongura and keep it a side
  2. Cut onion,tomato into 2 parts
  3. In a pressure cooker , add gongura leaves,tomato,ginger garlic paste,turmeric,oil 1tsp,green chillies and 1 tbsp of water.Close the lid
  4. Cook for one whistle
  5. Once cool down , take a masher and mash gongura well,add salt and mix well.Take out in a bowl
  6. In a small kadai add 1 tbsp oil , heat it
  7. Add mustard seeds,jeera,urad dal.Let them splutter.Add red chilly ,curry leaves and hing
  8. Add this seasoning to gongura.
  9. Tastes good when served with hot rice
