Ingredients
- Gongura 1 big cup
- Tomato small 1
- Onion small 1 or half onion if it is big
- turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Salt
- Oil 1tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Green chillies 3
For seasoning
- Mustard seeds
- Jeera
- Curry leaves
- Dry red chilli
- hing
- Urad dal split
- Oil 1 tbsp
Procedure
- Wash gongura and keep it a side
- Cut onion,tomato into 2 parts
- In a pressure cooker , add gongura leaves,tomato,ginger garlic paste,turmeric,oil 1tsp,green chillies and 1 tbsp of water.Close the lid
- Cook for one whistle
- Once cool down , take a masher and mash gongura well,add salt and mix well.Take out in a bowl
- In a small kadai add 1 tbsp oil , heat it
- Add mustard seeds,jeera,urad dal.Let them splutter.Add red chilly ,curry leaves and hing
- Add this seasoning to gongura.
- Tastes good when served with hot rice
