Ingredients
Senaga Pappu or Bengal gram 2 cups
Pesara pappu or Split moong daal 1/4 th cup
Pudina or Mint leaves 1 bunch
Onion 2
Red chillies 6
Salt
Oil for deep frying
Cinnamon 1/2 inch
Coriander 1 bunch
Curry leaves few
Procedure
- Wash and Soak Bengal gram and moong dal for 3-4 hrs
- In a Grinder add bengal gram,split moong dal,redchillies and cinnamon stick.Grind to coarse.Add little water only
- (Do not grind it to paste and also do not add too much water)
- Now take this grind coarse paste in a bowl ,add Chopped onions,coriander,pudina and curry leaves.Add salt, mix well
- Take small quantity and make a small ball and press it to flat.Make remaining vadas using same procedure
- In a Kadai , heat oil .Add these vadas into oil,cook on medium flame
- Serve hot with any chutney or ketchup
