Mysore Masala Dosa

Ingredients

For Red Chutney(Mysore Masala Karam)

  • Onion 1 big
  • Bengal Gram  2 tbsps
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Garlic cloves 3
  • Red chillies
  • Turmeric 
  • Salt
  • Water

For Potato Curry

  • Onion 1small
  • Potatoes 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Mustard seeds
  • Green Chillies
  • Turmeric
  • Salt

Procedure

For Red Chutney

  1. Heat a Kadai , Add 1 tsp oil ,heat it.
  2. Add Bengal Gram,fry for 2 mins.Now Add ginger,Onions,dry red chillies,Turmeric,salt and garlic cloves.Cook until onions are soft.Switch off the flame.Let it cool
  3. Add it into blender and grind to coarse paste add water if necessary.

For Potato Curry

  1. Boil the Potatoes in Cooker
  2. Heat a kadai , add oil heat it
  3. Now add mustard seeds , when it start splutter add bengal gram , curry leaves , chopped green chillies and chopped onions
  4. Cook till onions are soft.Add turmeric salt and Mashed potatoes.Mix well
  5. Cook for 3 to 4 mins .Switch it off

Preparing Dosa

  1. Heat Dosa griddle, take ladlelful of Dosa batter pour it on griddle, spread in circular motion into thin circle
  2. Sprinkle some oil or ghee
  3. Cook dosa till it becomes golden in color
  4. Now add Red Chutney and spread it evenly , you can also add some ghee or butter here
  5. Take a spoon ful of potato curry and Place it in center of dosa.Fold the dosa in Triangle shape or half.Serve it by topping some butter on it
